Guest Service Agents(Airport Customer Service Ticketing/Gate Agents)

Wherever people may be travelling and for whatever reason, the journey can be elevated considerably by encountering warm smiles and friendly, efficient service from the moment they enter the airport. Guest Service Agents help our passengers get from the ticket counter to the terminal gate and onboard the aircraft, ready for an on time takeoff.

Your outgoing personality, combined with poise and patience will position you front and center in an effort to take the mission of SkyBahamas superior customer service to new heights at every point in the travel process. Working in the airport at the front/ticketing counter or gate area, we will count on you to assist customers with checking-in, ticketing, tagging/handling baggage, boarding, deplaning and dispatching flights on time.


Job Summary:

  • Handles all aspects of work associated with ticketing and making reservations for passengers and those activities necessary to board and deplane passengers, including tagging and lifting passengers baggage
  • Proactively greets customers, assesses their needs, and directs them appropriately
  • Displays a positive image of SkyBahamas
  • Keeps customers informed while ensuring superior service delivery
  • Efficiently coordinates with internal resources while working under pressure and time constraints to dispatch flights on time
  • Performs a variety of duties according to the functional work area assignment; however, agents may be cross-utilized and be required to perform all functions
  • Subject to rotating shifts and off days; hence, should be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime
  • May require outside work
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
  • Ensures the safe and efficient transport of mail, freight and other cargo; hence, assisting cargo customers by providing rate information, selling cargo space, tracking/tracing freight and resolving customer problems. You will ensure proper delivery


Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be well groomed and physically fit
  • Must have typing ability or keyboard skills
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Bilingual skills are encouraged but not required
  • Previous ticket counter or gate experience is preferred
  • Must have strong listening and communication skills in order to identify customer needs and provide directions appropriately
  • Must be able to successfully complete courses in the appropriate training path for the job area, including two weeks of training in Nassau and be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including the ability to lift at least seventy (70) pounds repetitively
